Student’s journal club

journal club is an educational meeting in which a group of individuals discuss published articles, to keep themselves abreast of new knowledge, promoting in them the awareness of current research findings, teaching them to critique and appraise research, and encourage them to plan their own research proposal for thesis work in the fourth semester. The Applied Research Methodology course is a key module in MSPH course. Participation in a students’ journal club is an integral part of learning. It encourages students to read and appraise publications critically and give them the ability to do so. This inspires students to do applied public health research and to show them how.  The presentations and discussion are designed to improve debating skills, demonstrate leadership skills, and aid peer mentorship.
