Health Services Academy
Promoting Public Health
The Countdown 2030 global initiative focuses on strengthening country evidence and analytical capacity through working with country analysts from public health institutions, research institutions and ministers of health. Pakistan is one of the 15 countries where a partnership has been forged. Health Services Academy is leading the work at country level in collaboration with the MoNHSR&C, the University of Manitoba and Sick Kids hospital Canada. The funding for this initiative has been received from US Fund for UNICEF under a generous two year grant from BMGF.
Pakistan is committed to achieving SDG targets by 2030 with the plans to ensure universal health care for all. Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination and Health Services Academy have initiated a series of annual reports to gauge progress on key indicators. The first report for 2020 focuses on family planning and MNCH. The report for next year will focus on nutrition and adolescent health.
Health Services Academy is the lead institution from Pakistan in the global initiative of Countdown to 2030 and is collaborating with University of Manitoba and Centre for Global Health, Sick Kids Hospital Toronto, in this exercise. The team under the lead of Dr. Assad Hafeez at HSA has prepared the report in collaboration with the MoNHSR&C. The funding for this initiative has been received from US Fund for UNICEF under a generous two year grant from BMGF.
